Young people in Richmond achieve highly in this year’s results
Students and staff at Lift Richmond Park, part of Lift Schools, are celebrating this week as they collect their GCSE and BTEC results. For the fourth year in a row Lift Richmond Park achieves results significantly above the national average in all measures.
This year’s cohort were in their last year at primary school when schools were locked down, and faced a very different start to their secondary education, at the start of the pandemic.
Students have shown resilience and determination in studying and taking their exams which they sat in May and June, with the school offering extra one to one sessions, saturday lessons and before school cram sessions. This extra support paid off with many students achieving the grades required to go onto sixth form, for A levels, BTECs and further vocational study.

“Today is a culmination of a lot of grit, challenge and perseverance and I could not be happier for our students. I am incredibly proud of the hard work our students have put in and the results they thoroughly deserve. I would also like to thank our brilliant staff for the support and encouragement they have given our students. It has been a joy to see them celebrate today, and we look forward to seeing what they go on to do next.”
Regional education director at Lift Schools, Hannah Fahey said:
“This is another exceptional year for our students at Lift Richmond Park. I hope they are happy with the results they are receiving today, after a lot of hard work, both from our young people and the support from staff and their parents and carers.”
